Imagine yourself perched at the top of a stunning landmark that overlooks the domain of both land and sea. You're sitting nearly six hundred feet up, you feel the gentle warmth of the sun and the harsh wind in your face, the sharp scent of the sea and the din of life down below. You're not afraid of falling, though everything beneath you feels far away and the people no larger than ants. Rather, you feel as though you were sitting at the top of the world.

We spent the day walking through this cool beach town and found it more than worth the drive. Lots of opportunities to enjoy the waters of Morro Bay via paddleboards, kayaks and harbor tours. If you're into classic cars, they even have an annual festival showcasing the best. Don't forget to grab some coffee and some of the best cookies in the world at the Morro Bay cookie Co.! https://www.morrobaycookie.com/

This is quintessential beach town material: a classic image of two pelicans waiting for the morning rush by a California harbor!

These two daring souls did better than most. The thought of being sealed in a bubble and placed on water (which moves)...er, I don't think so. Entertainment value is a 10 out of 10!

It is an ancient Mariner, And he stoppeth one of three.
'By thy long grey beard and glittering eye,
Now wherefore stopp'st thou me?
- Samuel Taylor Cooleridge
This brilliantly constructed fisherman was built by one of many local artisans. Water, sand a few tools and a spray bottle. Amazing!

Think, if you can, of the sensation of being able to plummet off so high a perch with nothing but the strong current of air as your guide. The world passes beneath you in a tumultuous blur, and the sensation of having pertly defied gravity is euphoric. You are a local of the sky, a resident of the sea and a herald of careless freedom.
Your wings are the only liberty you'll ever need.
